Changing World
Who would have thought 3-6 Months ago that the World would have changed so dramatically in such a short space of time?
If anything many of us would have trusted that the biggest threats would likely emanate from Global Terrorism, Nuclear Arms, Global Supply Chain Domination or Rogue World Leaders. In actual fact, it was a “Pandemic” and despite mainstream media’s sensationalist reporting & social media “click bait” we’d somehow lost sight of reality & perspective, but nature has certainly awakened a new reality.
There is no doubt that the impact and fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic has been profound and has jolted us all significantly. It’s likely to continue to have an enduring effect on our health, mental well-being, community, prosperity & businesses now and into the future and we must adapt to survive. Yet, with glimmering hope, trust, optimism and a plan (I love it when a plan comes together) every challenge can be overcome.
Time and time again, human spirit combined with ingenuity & determination has proven that it’s stronger than the challenges we face and we must all remain stoic, resolute and positive with our vision for the future. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not playing it down, we are at War, but on this occasion, thankfully unlike other global conflicts, it’s likely that a combination of short-term personal sacrifice & freedoms, good hygiene & social distancing will be all that most of us will have to endure.
When you think about it, it’s honestly not comparable with the history of our forefathers who were asked to literally fight for our freedoms and their lives. Please spare a thought and show appreciation for those on the front line that endure so much for so many. The real hero’s!
Human & Technological Revolution
On reflection, we’ll all likely have a renewed sense of prioritisation, values, sense of community and/or appreciation for how good we had it for so long. That doesn’t mean it can’t be great again and we can plan & take action now that will no doubt help navigate the post pandemic impact & fallout.
It’s probable, If ever developed (Which is highly unlikely for many SME or NFP Businesses) that a Crisis Management Plan & Or Disaster Contingency Plan will have gone far enough to take account of what we are currently enduring as the new norm, hence it’s likely a new frontier for everyone. Suffice to say, you are not alone.
Across the pandemic, the customer, employee and business relationship (nae partnerships) have been tested, like never before? WFH has increasingly become the new norm & with so many Businesses adapting, adopting or indeed pivoting into remote working practices or offering on-line service-product offerings, clearly we’ll all need to adapt to survive.

With a real sense of urgency and renewed vigour, were all attempting to embrace (Some more successfully than others) the new world and with the help of technology we can continue to succeed and indeed flourish.
